Teagle Machinery, a specialist in Agricultural Machinery with over 80 years’ experience, has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade. This recognition celebrates the company’s remarkable growth in Export Sales over the past three years. Teagle’s market leading ‘Tomahawk’ range of bale processing machinery supports livestock husbandry, bioenergy applications, and erosion control.

Based in Cornwall, the third-generation family business employs approximately 150 staff and conducts all manufacturing at its plant near Truro. The award highlights exceptional growth in key overseas markets such as France, Ireland, USA, and Germany, with recent expansions into India, Thailand, Vietnam, Chile, and China. Export sales now comprise over 50% of the total revenue.

Teagle’s success stems from continuous design innovation and a dedication to manufacturing quality products, evident in its leading ‘Tomahawk’ Bale Processors utilised in over 120 countries. The company ensures reliability and superb after-sales support through a network of over 50 experienced distributors and export Sales Managers in key markets.

Managing Director Tom Teagle attributes the achievement to the entire team’s dedication, emphasising the importance of customer satisfaction and feedback. The King’s Award for International Trade acknowledges the vital role small businesses like Teagle play in enhancing the reputation of UK manufacturing.

Established 58 years ago, the Award program reflects the King’s commitment to recognizing outstanding UK businesses, aligning with the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II. This accolade marks a significant milestone for Teagle, underscoring its contribution amidst global challenges faced by farmers.
