From established manufacturers to growing specialist businesses, this year’s shortlist recognises achievements in manufacturing, exports, environmental performance and innovation, alongside the apprentices and emerging talent helping shape the sector’s future.
The shortlist reflects the breadth of manufacturing taking place in the county, with several businesses recognised in multiple categories. Alongside the business awards, apprentices and rising stars have also been shortlisted from an initial expansive longlist, highlighting the talent developing within the sector.
CMG CEO Eric Nicholls says: “It’s great to see such a strong shortlist, with businesses of different sizes and specialisms represented. Cornwall has a remarkable manufacturing community, and these awards provide an opportunity to recognise the people, ideas and commitment behind its success.
It’s particularly encouraging to see so many apprentices and rising stars shortlisted. Developing new talent is essential to the future of manufacturing in Cornwall, and recognising those making an impact early in their careers is an important part of that.”
